Chardell Holding A/S is the mother company for Chardell Group OU and origin from Junior Holding A/S, Copenhagen, Denmark which was established by the Danish entrepreneurs Jan Eilersen and Lars Simonsen in 1993.
The business was organized from the basement in ‘’Ny Havn 63’’ in the old center of Copenhagen under the name ‘’East West Oil Company Aps’’ as a trading company, parallel the founders was involved in Let Line A/S, which received one of the last concession from EU to perform ferry passenger service between East Denmark / South Sweden and Latvia.
In 1994 the shipping company Amber Line AB was founded and performing the service between Copenhagen / Karlskrona and Riga. Later the company was sold to DSB Rederi A/S/Scandlines and the co-operation continued until 2001.
Ever since 1994 the group has been involved in shipping and logistics operations and transportation, mainly of tobacco, bottling cans and butter and made its major acquisitions of Team Trans International in 1998.
In partnership with local entrepreneurs established a small pellet factory which became the first experience with forestry and wood business in 2001
In 2005 acquired the former Latvian Shipping base in Riga Port and manufactures LPG portable tanks, Roll-trailers and operated container storage terminal.
From 2006 involved in Air Alpha (helicopter and jet business).
The subsidiaries and associated companies have operations in 8 countries acting within: 3 business sectors: Trading, Shipping and Services.
The Chardell Group and its associated companies incl. the families other businesses is active, experienced and with great knowledge in different cultures and environments through out Scandinavia, Baltics, European countries, Russia, Ukraine , Brazil, Turkey, Egypt and China.
